Gary Gripp

DIRECTOR OF SERVICE / TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Gary leads and manages APW’s safety program in order to develop the desired safety culture and achieve safety objectives, and works closely with Operations and job specific management for training and development. Gary’s career in aquatics started in 1996 with a retail Pool and spa establishment as a spa technician. By 1998, he became the field service manager and in 2002 started managing service department and delivery crew.

Gary joined Anderson Poolworks in 2006 as the commercial service manager. Over the years his duties and roles have changed to fit the evolving needs of Anderson Poolworks, from mechanical foreman, project management, sales, technical support, to now safety, training, and development.

  • Gary’s certifications and experience includes:

  • Certified Pool Operator CPO 1997- present

  •  Certified stain specialist 2008-present.

  • Oregon OSHA construction advisory committee 2020- present

  • Numerous major manufacturers technical certifications. 1996-present.

  • PHTA CSP certified service professional. 2011? - present.

  • PWA sales inside/outside 2018-2020.

Gary raised all his children within his career in aquatics. Outside of work, he love his animals and family, gardening, hiking and all things motorsports, rescuing old muscle cars and bringing them back to life, atvs, sand dunes, stock car racing.

Gary is also involved in Moxie media and promotions/Willamette speedway as the Race program director, pit correspondent and IMCA tech inspector.
